The service
Souboul Esselam is a technical intermediary connecting a passenger with an independent driver. We are not a transport company, we do not own the vehicles and we do not employ the drivers. The transport contract is between you and the driver; our part is introducing you and computing the fare.
Your account
- The account is personal and tied to your phone number. Do not give your sign-in code to anyone.
- You must be 18 or older.
- We may suspend an account used for fraud, abuse, or conduct that endangers others.
Fares and payment
- An estimate is shown before you request a ride, computed from expected distance and time.
- The final fare may differ if the route changes or there is prolonged waiting.
- Payment is cash, directly to the driver. No money passes through us and we hold no card details.
Cancellation
- You may cancel free of charge before a driver accepts.
- Repeatedly cancelling after a driver has arrived wastes their working time and may lead to your account being restricted.
Expected conduct
- Respect the driver and the vehicle. Carrying anything unlawful is forbidden. No harassment or threats toward anyone.
- Safety first: wear the seatbelt and follow traffic rules.
Drivers
- A driver is independent, not an employee. A valid licence, insurance and a roadworthy vehicle are their responsibility, as are their tax and legal obligations.
- A commission is deducted from the driver’s wallet on each completed ride; its terms are shown in the driver app.
Limits of our responsibility
- We do what we can to keep the service running, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that a driver will always be free.
- What happens during the ride itself is between passenger and driver, whose contract it is. None of this removes any right Mauritanian law gives you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Mauritanian law, and the courts of Nouakchott have jurisdiction.
Changes
We may amend these terms; the amendment will be published here with its date. Continuing to use the app after that is acceptance.
